Rob’s Gig Guide: 8th April – 14th April 2013

It seems that pretty much every promoter or band is putting on a show this Friday or Saturday so picking just three was quite the task this week.

The Courteeners – Limelight – Friday 22nd March 2013
The Courteeners have just released their latest album ‘Anna’ and are taking it out on the road. The indie-rockers sound continues to mature but will no doubt be a memorable show. Support comes from local up and coming band, Elspeth!

Tickets available on the door or from Ticketmaster for £21.

And So I Watch You From Afar – Amplified – Friday 22nd March 2013
ASIWYFA always put on a stellar show and although this one is in Newry’s Amplified Bar, it would be very advisable for you to head down. Their latest album ‘All Hail Bright Futures’ has received critical acclaim and if the video of their performance with the Ulster Orchestra doesn’t grip you, I am truly saddened!

Tickets are available for £10 here or else will be available on the door!

Dr Feelgood – Black Box – Saturday 23rd March 2013
Dr. Feelgood remains one of the most popular and exciting live rhythm and blues acts in the world. The raw and uncompromising style of their performance resulted in the album Stupidity that immediately went to the number one position in the U.K. charts.

Unfortunately tickets for the show are sold-out but if you did manage to get some you are in for a real treat!
