Rob’s Gig Guide: 19th – 25th August 2013

Just want to apologise about the site, the last week or so we’ve had terrible technical problems with our servers, hence why the site has been either really slow or inaccessible. It is resolved now so hopefully normal service will resume from tomorrow.

Arctic Tern – Black Box, Belfast – Tuesday 20th May April 2014

Arctic Tern aka Chris Campbell just released his new EP, Hopeful Heart, and is spending the majority of May and June playing shows to support it. The tour encompasses a huge number of dates across Ireland, the UK and France, but naturally there’s a lovely intimate Belfast show in there for good measure.

Admission is £6 on the door *SOLD OUT*

Malibu Shark Attack – McHughs, Belfast – Friday 23rd May 2014

Transatlantic band, Malibu Shark Attack will finally be in the same continent as they come together to launch their debut album. A fusion of indie rock and rap, it’s likely to be an intriguing and quite rare chance to see them live. Support comes from Oh Volcano, the new project from the Strathern brothers (General Fiasco).

Tickets are £6 on the door

Escobar – Stiff Kitten, Belfast – Friday 23rd May 2014

Sonic rockers Escobar have pulled their socks up lately, releasing their first music video and now they’re taking the next step and releasing their debut EP. Similar to the Rise//Fall EP itself, this launch party will be awash with brooding riffs and attitude. They have roped in Loris, Aquatramp and Midnight Tranmission to round out an impressive bill.

Entry is £5.
