Rob’s Gig Guide: 19th – 25th August 2013

On behalf of Peter and myself I just want to say a massive thank you for all the positive feedback in relation to our first ever podcast. We are really pleased with how it turned out and we will have another one for you shortly.

Jason Clarke – The Empire, Belfast – Thursday 24th October 2013
Off the back of the release of latest single ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ and a sold out show on the roof of the Merchant hotel, Jason headlines the Empire with a full band. The soulful singer songwriter is quickly building a reputation for himself and shouldn’t be missed.

Admission is £7.50 on the door

Smoking Tongue – Voodoo, Belfast – Friday 25th October 2013
Lisburn rockers Smoking Tongue love a riff so what better way to launch their latest EP, ‘Gak Tooth Grin’ but with a headline show in the intimate setting of Voodoo. Support comes from The Jury Disagree, Tribe Belfast and The Runaway Bears.

Admission is £5 on the door.

The Emerald Armada – Voodoo, Belfast – Saturday 26th October 2013
Yet another EP launch in Voodoo, this time the folk-tastic Emerald Armada celebrate the release of ‘Hearty Laughs and Warmer Hearts.’ A fantastic live band with harmonies and foot stomping choruses galore, it is the perfect respite after a busy week. Support comes from Joshua Burnside, Jessica McAllister, Ciaran Lavery and Sons of Caliber.

Admission is £5 on the door
