Festival season is finally upon us and the anticipated booming Belsonic begins this month, however it’s always important to support our local acts amongst this summer madness!
Output Belfast – Various Venues – Thursday 1st June 2023
36 Artists showcasing across 9 venues in the Cathedral Quarter as part of the annual Output Belfast. All showcases are free so there’s no excuse not to attend but if only get to one, come to ours at the Deer’s Head….

Tiernán Heffron – Oh Yeah Music Centre – Friday 2nd June 2023
Sparking attention from global superstar Taylor Swift and snagging a support slot for Tom Grennan, acoustic pop singer-songwriter Tiernán Heffron takes the stage for a headline show of his own. Compared to the likes of Ed Sheeran and Niall Horan, Heffron is set for future headlines and success.
Dea Matrona – Mandela Hall – Saturday 3rd June 2023
Following their unforgettable performance at the NI music prize 2022 and tour supporting Kris Barras band, the esteemed rock duo are set for their headline tour. With a mix of soulful lyricism and vocals accompanied with hard-hitting guitar riffs, expect a striking and explosive set.
Cairo Station – Ulster Sports Club – Thursday 8th June 2023
Up-and-coming alternative rock band Cairo Station perform their second live show, establishing their name locally prior to their anticipated debut release. With support from acclaimed Martha Greer, an indie-folk solo act along with disorder, a soulful rock four piece.
Slow Healer – Oh Yeah Music Centre – Saturday 10th June 2023
Presented by Old crow productions, intense grunge band ‘slow healer’ play alongside psychedelic rock four piece ‘Madams last discovery, both bands following the releases of compelling singles. Opener Mucksavage makes their live debut, yet seem to already fit in with this vivacious line-up.
Jealous of the Birds – Ulster Sports Club – Thursday 15th June 2023
Eminent to the Northern Irish music scene, the distinguished Jealous of the Birds is set to play Ulster Sports as part of her UK/IRE June tour. An undoubtedly packed evening with loyal supporters, Noami Hamilton has established a renowned sound, with influences such as Fleet Foxes and Elliott Smith, cherished and valued in Ireland and beyond.
