We initially heard ‘Made For Me‘ in demo form through our Kickstart competition and have come to discover that Stephen Jones is the man behind the moniker, Glass Wings . Such was the strength of his demo, that it took him all the way to the final and while he didn’t take home the grand prize on the night, we are thrilled to premiere the video for the finished track.
The Limavady native recorded ‘Made For Me’ with Liam Craig and together they have produced a real musical treat. Stephen’s ear for a melody shines through and with sprinklings of keys thrown in for good measure, the song really shines. A true earworm of a single.
While songwriters can be guarded about the meaning behind their songs, Stephen reveals that it represents a nostalgic look back at a connection with someone that really impacted the direction of your life. This nostalgic connection is reflected in the video which was filmed on the glorious coastline at Benone and in their local bar (Frank Owens) by Josh Brogan. ‘Made For Me’ is the first single to be released from his forthcoming EP, Jana From Barcelona due in May.
