Generator NI announce 2015/16 Talent Development artists

Anyone who keeps an eye on the local music scene will no doubt be familiar with Jealous of the Birds (aka Naomi Hamilton). Her self-released E.P Capricorn garnered a serious amount of praise and attention, and totally deserved at that. This year we’re set to get more from Naomi, with an album – ‘Parma Violets’ – announced for later this year on April 8th.

Until then we have a preview in the form of ‘Goji Berry Sunset‘, a re-recording of the song of the same name from the Capricorn E.P. The song features all of Hamilton’s trademarks, the quiet, honest singing, the intimate, indie production, and of course the beautifully crafted lyrics (“your name fizzes on my tongue, damn that name”) that express emotion and feeling, that sparks imagery and imagination like only Jealous of the Birds can.
With the single already getting great critical acclaim, and a recent play on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, Goji Berry Sunset is an indie-pop tune that ensures that Jealous of the Birds will turn heads all over again.
