Watch: Dandelion Tea – The Crystal Dawn

Watch: Dandelion Tea – The Crystal Dawn

Northern Ireland today is constantly producing an impressive amount of bands and artists. Amongst those, a few talents undoubtedly slip through our net. Thankfully Belfast’s Dandelion Tea caught our attention back in January as the band headed into the final of our Kickstart competition on the back of their debut single ‘The Crystal Dawn‘.

Musically the band can be a little hard to pin down, with their live set incorporating a mix of vocals, an Otis Redding cover and a first performance of ‘The Crystal Dawn’. The track itself is a genuinely delightful piece of indie-pop, moving along at its own pace to a lush blend of acoustic guitars, synths, strings and xylophone. The whole track is one heady, relaxing mix penned by guitarist Jordie Sunshine, and produced at Belfast’s Start Together studios.

‘The Crystal Dawn’ is the first single from the band’s upcoming EP ‘A Picnic in Limbo’. Judging by this track, you would be wise to keep an ear out for it.
