Watch: Hit The B Button – Antz With a ‘Z’ Like The Movie

Watch: Hit The B Button – Antz With a ‘Z’ Like The Movie

Now with a number of years and a few releases under their belt Belfast based band Hit The B Button returned last week with new EP Let’s Go Somewhere Else. Launched in Belfast’s Pavilion, the first single taken from the release is the oddly titled ‘Antz With a ‘Z’ Like The Movie’.

Led by vocalist Stuart Ledgerwood and named for a shared love of video games, the band have a habit of slightly eccentric alt rock. Referencing the 1998 Woody Allen voiced film Antz, the new single is their first new music since 2016’s To Water On Mars. Littered with unusual guitar breaks, an almost acapella chorus of “Time to say goodbye to prejudices and make amends”, Hit The B Button seem intent on doing things their own way, with Ledgerwood’s distinctive vocals the band’s most stand out characteristic. Band footage interlaced with an abundance of American road trip style visuals was shot and edited by Zool Records.

‘Antz With a ‘Z’ Like The Movie’ is taken from their new EP, Let’s Go Somewhere Else which is available now, featuring an appearance from Electric Six’s Dick Valentine. Surely that warrants a curious listen.
