Search Party’s Seminal, is executed with distinction and individualism to boot. As a single, the song exhumes a raw immediacy often long lost in the musical ether. Hidden within this track, is a band envisaging their own brand of groove-laden alt-rock indie tunage; slowly finding their feet and waiting to eventually form the apex of that concept and blow out the speakers of every club, pub and venue come 2021 and the great reawakening of musical performance that lies ahead.
In a world where ‘mediocre’ has become the new ‘great’, Search Party are sonically waging a one-band war against the idealess, musically-illiterate doggrel that the populace of the wretched trendy music machine are willing to lap up with sickening eagerness. It’s songs like this that we need to be the trojan horse that help band’s like Search Party gain access to the mainframe – to resist, refuse and take over.
