It requires a certain tenacity and commitment to producing special events that allows an organisation to reach a tenth anniversary. After nine great years of live music around the North Coast, Atlantic Sessions reach that milestone in 2018.

To celebrate reaching a decade, the organisers are inviting over 50 musicians to play a host of venues throughout the windswept towns of Portrush and Portstewart between Thursday 15th and Sunday 18th November. This year the event also coincides with Causeway Coast and Glens Restaurant Week ensuring visitors get the perfect mix of amazing live music and sumptuous food.

There are seven brilliant ticketed events that require booking in advance but all the other events are free of charge. The opportunity to catch the likes of Hunkpapa, Rebekah Fitch, Pale Lanterns and the Wood Burning Savages for free shouldn’t be missed. The paid events are also very worthy of your attention with the highlights being:-

  • Third Bar Showcase featuring David C Clements accompanied by a string quartet, Rosborough and Strange New Places
  • Malojian accompanied by strings and a visual show
  • Slackers Presents: All TVVINS, Brand New Friend, Son of the Hound and Susie Blue
  • Sunday Brunch with Ralph McLean featuring Kitt Philippa, Arborist, Ciara O’Neill and Matt McGinn

You can see the full programme of events at the Atlantic Sessions 2018 below and tickets for the special events are available direct from their website.
