Much loved indie pop act Oppenheimer called it a day a number of years ago but one of the protagonists Mark O’Reilly is back. Well known as a local producer and as a go to guy in the music scene here, thankfully he hasn’t abandoned his own musical talents . His current project, the intriguingly titled Malibu Shark Attack are starting off the year with a new single to whet our appetite before the album drops.
It is an interesting prospect, in that his partner in crime, Tribe One is based across the Atlantic in Atlanta. Despite the thousands of miles separating the pair, they have come up with some catchy nu-wave indie pop (if I haven’t just made that genre up).
The new single ‘Better Off As Friends’ will be released on Monday 17th March 2014 through No Dancing Records.
