The Oh Yeah Music Centre’s talent development scheme Scratch My Progress has consistently supported bright new talents in Northern Ireland. The programme aims to nurture upcoming bands and artists, providing opportunities, skills and support to help them build their music career. The deadline for applications for the 2018 programme is this Friday 6 July at 6pm.
Now entering its seventh year, the list of resources provided to the successful applicants has remained impressive with workshops, mentoring, advice, photoshoots and plenty of opportunities with industry professionals all on offer across a nine month period. In previous years the list has included Warner Music (Muse, Green Day), Domino Records (Arctic Monkeys) and Northern Ireland PR Jeff Robinson (The 1975). The artists will write and record a track in Start Together Studios, released across various platforms and launched during Sound of Belfast in November 2018.
The list of artists involved in previous years is as diverse as it is successful, with the likes of Kitt Philippa, Owen Denvir, Hot Cops, Reevah and more. There have been plenty of success stories there with the possibility of a spot at The Great Escape in Brighton.
Applications for the scheme close at 6pm on Friday 6 July so hurry! The full list of prizes and requirements can be found on the online application form below.
