Stendhal Announces Second Batch of Artists For 2015

Stendhal Festival 2015 Now Open For Band Submissions

After announcing a whole host of incredible musicians in their original announcement, you might have thought that the second reveal of artists would be disappointing in comparison. True to form though the team at Stendhal Festival of Art haven’t been resting on their laurels and made the line-up even more special.

From a local point of view, Rainy Boy Sleep, Making Monsters, The Hardchargers and Axecatcher flesh out the line-up while from further afield we are excited to catch Fatherson, Kormac’s Big Band, Declan O’Rourke and Macka B.

The most interesting aspect of the line-up was the news that there would be a Scratch My Progress stage. Put together by the Oh Yeah Music Centre and the Nerve Centre it will feature current & previous alumni including R51, Hot Cops and Sister Ghost.

Tickets for the festival are currently available from the official Stendhal Festival Of Art website. There will be further announcements about the festival over the coming weeks.

"Supporting local is the way forward. We want venues that are locally run, supporting local bands, but bringing big bands in too. I’m very optimistic, I think it’s going to be wonderful when it all opens up.”

We spoke to New Pagans’ Lyndsey McDougall about the band’s debut album, politics and motherhood in music, and the pandemic.
