Last week Volume Control announced details of a brand new non-profit record label Volume Control Records, aimed at promoting the up and coming Northern Irish musical talent. For the record label, Volume Control teamed up with Charlotte Dryden & Jenna Booth of the Oh Yeah Music Centre, Taylor Johnson (Encore NI) and Andy Black.
Taylor Johnson had this to say:
It’s been an amazing opportunity helping Volume Control Records get off the ground! The Volume Control team have been amazing and I think together we’ve created something really special here.
Each and every one of the acts we’ve chosen have something important to give to the current scene and they are all so different too! They’ve all worked incredibly hard too, and hopefully VCR will go some way to helping them onto the next stage of their musical journey!
The label will be releasing a debut compilation featuring 8 local acts. The full track list list features The Bayonettes, The Remedy, Jealous of the Birds, Salad Boyz, Young G, Shadow Police, Little Arcadia and Maeve McPherson.
