Neil Cowley Trio Competition!

Neil Cowley – Derry~Londonderry’s ‘Musician in Residence’ is due to bleed his awesomeness over the Nerve Centre stage on Saturday 4th May – and we have THREE PAIRS of tickets to give away to a show that you’ll not want to miss!

The Neil Cowley Trio is not your typical jazz trio. A dazzling composer, pianist Cowley creates deeply engaging, and dynamic music that journeys between poetic and poignant, pomp and splendour to powerful rip-roaring riffs. Their music fizzes with the energy of rock and surges with the dynamics of the dance floor. Embracing experiences in other genres – the highs of the dance music, the grooves of funk, and the elegiac nature of orchestral music, bringing to life characters through melody, harmony, vast dynamic ranges and drama.

It is instrumental music that references Debussy and Steve Reich as much as Spiritualized and Arcade Fire, and is powerful enough to break down standard perceptions of genre.

To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets – Simply leave your answer to the following question in the comments below. We’ll pick our three winners at random on Friday.

Question: Neil was the ‘most listened to’ pianist in 2011. This was due to working with which Artist?

Good Luck!
