Vacancies

Despite our lowly beginnings, the team at Chordblossom has continued to grow and flourish. But we are always keen to do and cover more so if you are interested in getting involved in any shape or form, we would love to hear from you.

While we can’t offer you any money, we can promise you’ll meet some great people, hear new music before anyone else and of course be in attendance at a host of live gigs throughout the year.

A large number of our writers and contributors have gone onto paid employment for the likes of the BBC, Generator NI and other media outlets. Several of the team also had the privilege to sit on the judging panel for the NI Music Prize.

// General Roles

These are roles that we’re always interested in filling. You would be joining a group of like-minded folks.

// Specific Roles

// NEWS EDITOR

Every day there are are gig/festival announcements, bands releasing new materials and special announcements. We are looking for a dedicated News Editor to keep our readers updated with everything happening. You would be responsible for drafting news pieces and would ideally have a good knowledge of the local music scene.

// INTERVIEWS/INTRODUCING EDITOR

As much as we all love hearing the music our artists produce we also want to know what inspires them, what their future plans and any quirky stories about their journey so far. That is why we are looking for an enthusiastic interviewer to conduct interviews and draw up features on local bands and musicians.

// MEDIA TEAM

We are living in a visual world, and as such, we want our website and content to be as visual and interactive as possible. We have a lot of creative ideas of how to use video with a creative flair, but all we need is a few more folks that are handy with a camera / lights / editing etc. You would be responsible for documenting festivals and interviews with amazing bands. It’d be a fun life, we promise.
