From hymns to songs about 5p crisps, Swell was the weekend when Strabane’s Freak’s announced themselves on the Irish festival scene. Fresh off the Main Stage we caught up with Ronan Doherty and Ronan Duffy from the self proclaimed Strabanimals to find what they’ve made of their recent success and what other topics might be given the Freak’s treatment.

A Freak’s branded flag is proudly raised high within the bustling crowd as their radiant forthcoming ode to 5p crisps, ‘Red or Green’, shone bright. A junket of carefree guitars and sharp beats, it looks set to be their biggest earworm yet – and based their current form that’s really saying something. ❞
