Chordblossom Gigs

As well as writing about the music scene in Northern Ireland, Chordblossom also host live gigs. Since our live debut back in March 2014 we have hosted a huge number of great local artists. From EP launches for The Wood Burning Savages & LORIS, to single launches for Silences & His New Atlas, we also do our best to support young bands or musicians looking for their first shows.

If you are a band or solo musician interested in playing one of our future shows we would love to hear from you. There are no restrictions as to genre, we’re just looking for people who want to play live. Although we are particularly keen to hear from anyone releasing a single, EP or album. CHERYM – One Last Show

CHERYM formed after meeting in college over a joint love of garage rock, pop punk and a desire to be the biggest band in the world.

Taking influence from The Smashing Pumpkins, Bikini Kill, American Football, PUP and Pixies, the Derry indie-punks accomplished more than most.

From releasing their critically acclaimed debut EP to their unforgettable debut album to playing a huge number of shows and tours across Ireland, the UK and all the way to the US. The last ten years established them as one of Derry’s great musical exports.

All good things must come to an end and CHERYM are now ready to bow out on their terms with one last homecoming show.

Don’t miss your opportunity to soak up all those pop-punk hooks and melodies one last time.

The band will play the New Gate Arts Centre on Saturday 30th May 2026.

Tickets are priced at £15 and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

GIFTED – Live at the Belfast Empire

Renowned for showcasing the best musical talent Northern Ireland has to offer, the GIFTED showcases have been sorely missed from the Belfast gig scene.

We were thrilled to be asked to get GIFTED back up and running again. We are enjoying curating shows in one of the country’s finest venues.

The revamped GIFTED will feature a host of established and up and coming musicians from across Northern Ireland through regular gigs.

The next GIFTED will be on Thursday 7th May 2026. It will feature Myles McCormack, Benjamin Amos & Sophie French.
