◀ Q & A ▶

▶ Tell us about your name

Everyone hides behind something, right?

▶ When did you start playing music and how would you describe your sound?

I’m about six years in now. I heard someone use the term ‘morose’ or ‘like a bad hangover’ once, let’s go with that.

▶ What releases have you put out so far?

My first release Bedroom Demo is streaming out there on Apple Music, Spotify, Bandcamp – or in other words, not enough.

▶ Is there a particular live show that stands out amongst all the rest?

LaFaro opened with ‘Boke’ in Head Records, pure madness.

▶ Can you talk about a Highlight and a low point of the journey so far?

All I’ve seen so far is that music brings people together, but I’ll let you know when I find a low point.

▶ If you weren’t a musician how would you spend your spare time?

I’d probably be talking over instrumentals other people have made.

▶ If you were to go on a world tour and you could pick any 3 acts come along, who would they be?

3 acts, Jesus! I’d resurrect LaFaro, Fighting with Wire and More Than Conquerors. Did you notice a recurring theme there?

▶ What would be the 3 strangest things on your rider if you were able to make any demand?

No rider, paupers don’t get demands.

▶ Is there a particular aim or goal which you hope to achieve through music?

I just want to be me from the future.

▶ Who has been your biggest inspiration as musicians?

Greene taught me how to tune properly when I first picked up. I owe him a lot, the dog.

▶ Are there any other Northern Irish musicians we should check out?

Rhetorical question, check them all out.

▶ What is next for you?

I’ve a few pots on the boil, I’ll sort something out in good time but mostly just making music for me to listen to, and yourselves of course.
