◀ Q & A ▶

▶ When did you start playing music and how would you describe your sound?

In March 2016 we started playing together as a band, however we have been playing in various ventures together for the last 4 years. I describe our sound as being like a theme tune to our lives at a particular moment. So it will vary across our set, one minute it could be a bit moany, the next we are dancing about like maniacs. But What I feel to be Important about our music is that it is authentic to ourselves. We hope you can connect with our story in some way.

▶ What releases have you put out so far?

Currently just the short EP ‘Enemy’.

▶ Is there a particular live show that stands out amongst all the rest?

We haven’t played many, but our last show in Whelans was really fun. We went mental and so did the crowd. Especially the very kind German man that kept buying me pints. A true gentleman.

▶ Can you talk about a Highlight and a low point of the journey so far?

Just recently we worked on a song that felt amazing creating together. Everybody added their own ideas that just made this new fresh sound we found to be so exciting. The excitement we have to play live and record is such a great feeling and we feel so lucky to have it. Playing on the Whelans main stage was awesome too, all of our heroes have played there.

There should be low points but I suppose we are still a bit young as a band for these to have happened yet. we tend to laugh in the worst of times together anyway so the low points will hopefully be watered down by that. All being well, we will have plenty of traumatic experiences to tell you about in a year!

▶ If you weren’t a musician(s) how would you spend your spare time?

Go karting.

▶ If you were to go on a world tour and you could pick any 3 acts come along, who would they be?

In no particular order, apart from us being first on.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers (with John Frusciante), HOW & Nirvana .

▶ What would be the 3 strangest things on your rider if you were able to make any demand?

Billy Connolly as a personal Jester, smoked chipotle sauce & a crate of 2014 Tonic Wine.

▶ Is there a particular aim or goal which you hope to achieve through music?

To create new, exciting music and have fun with our audiences across the world that connect with our songs. A mountain of cash would be nice also, but not essential. We don’t mind being penniless.

▶ Who has been your biggest inspiration as musicians?

I can remember hearing ‘Under the Bridge’ by RHCP when I was about 8 and thinking “this is amazing”. I think from that moment on I have been subconsciously swayed towards writing music and playing with my friends, even though I have no friends.

▶ Are there any other Northern Irish musicians we should check out?

HOW. They have a new album coming out, it’s going to glorious!

▶ What is next for you?

Performing as much as possible and having an EP released in early Autumn. We would love to get touring also!
