Chordblossom Christmas Party

We are literally spoiling you with our live shows at the minute and we are now ready to unveil the line-up of our Christmas Party. Our end of year festivities will feature Amidships, New Ancestors and Hannah McPhillimy at the Bar With No Name on Friday 12th December 2014.

Amidships are a band that are easy to fall in love with. Effortlessly melodic yet with maintaing an incredibly dynamic live show; they could be seen as a Northern Irish mash up of Bands of Horses and Arcade Fire. Their Friendly Fire EP and subsequent double A Side ‘Lost/Forever Here’ releases were both well received and there was mention of a new EP. However with the exception of the release of ‘Oceans’ earlier this year the band have been keeping a low profile. That’s why we’re particularly glad to have nabbed them before they push on with a new EP and tour plans in 2015.

New Ancestors have the  folksy pop scene cornered in Northern Ireland. The succession of singles from Belfast pair Jonny Solari & Andrew Cameron tugged at the heart strings of many both here and further afield. They’ve just returned from a short venture in Glasgow and we’re putting them straight back into your open arms.

Hannah McPhillimy is one of the most genuinely enchanting singer songwriters our province has. Whether sitting behind a piano or playing on her ukulele, her voice is perfect to carry into any genre. Her gorgeously arranged music is infused with jazz to really set her apart from her peers. You’d be a fool to miss out on catching her live.
