Spectrum Festival Belfast Headliner Announced

If you’ve been keeping on the ball lately you may well have heard tell of Spectrum Festival Belfast. Spectrum is a brand new music festival showcasing the best Northern Ireland has to offer. Don’t grab your wellies too quick though, as this is one festival were you will not be spending your weekend slumming it in a field in the arse-end of nowhere. All EIGHT artists will be present on ONE night in ONE venue.

That venue is the Black Box, Belfast. Speaking on the choice of venue, Mícheál Douglas had this to say, “The Black Box provides a blank canvas for us to deliver an indoor festival that will be accompanied with an array of visuals as a backdrop to the musicians onstage.”

With an exciting line-up already announced, including Runaway GO, Pretty Child Backfire, Jason Clarke, Hologram, Howl, Ryan McMullan and Jonny Reid, Spectrum have produced an outstanding, diverse line up that covers all spectrums of local music, building on the success of the local scene over recent years.

Having kept us in suspense for the past few weeks, Spectrum Festival announced their headliner this morning. Following the extremely successful launch of their second single, Dancing With Me On Your Mind, last month, Mojo GoGo are set to headline this amazing local festival, supported by some of the best acts in the area.

With such an awesome night planned, it’s a relief that Spectrum plan to stick around for years to come. The EIGHT artists, ONE venue, ONE night platform is something you should get used to, as Spectrum have no immediate plans to extend the festival to become a traditional weekender.

We think this is a fantastic idea and the perfect pre-festival season warm-up, but we want to know what you think. One night vs weekender?

You can keep up to date with ticket announcements over on the Spectrum Festival Belfast Facebook page.
