There used to be quite a collection of music festivals in Northern Ireland but with the likes of Glasgowbury, Sunflowerfest, Forfey, Pigstock & Moira Calling all falling by the wayside, it’s been sparse picking for music festival lovers. That looks all set to change with the rise of Under The Drum.
Set in the grounds of Breckenhill under the shadow of the Antrim Hills, this will be a boutique affair. The first edition of the festival takes play on Saturday 28th September 2024. A bold move to host it outside the usual summer months.
There will be 2 stages, stalls, and a variety of other performances on during the day. The festival will offer camping with a campsite for tents and a separate site for campervans.
Most importantly for any festival is the line-up and while it can definitely be described as eclectic, it’s stacked. It features some of NI’s biggest artists in the form of Joshua Burnside, Brand New Friend, Arborist and Junk Drawer.
Early bird tickets are available now coming in at £45 for a day pass or £60 for a camping pass. Tickets are available over on the Under the Drum Festival website.
