Amy Montgomery has become a fixture of Northern Irish gigs over the last couple of years, regularly appearing in venues around Belfast and beyond. But now, fresh from a first London show supporting The Answer’s Cormac Neeson, her first single ‘Dangerous’ has been given a re-release.
With a music video video released last year, ‘Dangerous’ has already been in the light of day, however nearly a year on the Lisburn songwriter has given it a new lease of life. The track incorporates elements of folk rock but with strings that dip and soar has a real cinematic feel. No mention of Amy Montgomery would be complete without discussing that voice. On ‘Dangerous’ it finds a perfect vehicle, more than a nod to the likes of Janis Jopin, her vocals rise untamed through the track’s chorus.
Following its re-release, the track is available on all streaming services with largely instrumental B-side ‘Terminal Velocity’ plus stripped back and instrumental versions of the single.
