We go again. The omniscient presence of the virus on everyone’s lips has done little to sway the flood of new music to emerge from our shores, rather it appears to have increased it. Par exemple, we bring you the premiere of the brand new track from melodic power rockers Paper Tigers.
We’ve already shown support for the group on their previous single. Now, on their sophomore single ‘Flames‘, the group make a statement of intent. Powered by an incendiary riff that drives the song forward, demanding attention before exploding into a stadium-sized chorus, ‘Flames’ straightforward approach to rock and roll is equal parts nostalgic and contemporary.
Their melodies and choruses are fuelled by the effervescent snarl of singer Hayley Norton, whose delivery plays off the pounding rhythm section with ease. Already a live favourite of the band ‘Flames’ lyrically deals with infatuation and lust, an introduction to an all-consuming seduction.
“Like a flaming succubus, Hayley’s vocals lure you into the song and trap the melody inside your head.”
‘Flames’ will be released on the 27th of March, and will be available to stream on all major platforms.
