Fresh out of nowhere, or Belfast if we are being geographically correct, come new pop band, Loris. Epic synths are the order of the day here and ensures the band a distinctly 80’s pop vibe. Tom and Chris lay down a simple synthesised beat while front woman Frances lays down foreboding vocals. Things get a bit tastier at 1.45 mark where some well place drums give the track that extra edge.
Those with a fond memory of the likes of Soft Cell or even those who enjoyed La Roux will find something to love here. One of the most intriguing singles of 2013, it leaves us quite simply wanting more. Due to it’s December arrival we predict this track will be jammed in your head for a good part of 2014.
