Callum Stewart showed a lot of promise at a tender age, creating plenty of buzz from his early releases. Now at the age of 19, the North coast songwriter is reaching new heights. His latest single ‘The Dam’ is another clear indication of Stewart’s progression.
Following a two gap, Stewart released ‘Parachute’ which took off in a big way. With over half a million Spotify streams, the new indie-pop production paid off. Now, with follow-up single ‘The Dam’, Stewart is hoping to follow a similar path. The polished sound is back again on new single ‘The Dam’. Co-written with Jez Ashurst (Gabrielle Aplin, Lawson) and Emma Rohan (James Arthur, Little Mix) is a song about hope and holding out.
We’ll have to wait and see if Stewart can match the success of ‘Parachute’ but there’s no doubt he’s in a rich vein of form right now.
