Rosborough hit us with the wonderful ‘Burn Blue’, a first step in a new solo venture, plenty were taken in by an irresistible mix of the cinematic, a superb hook and of course that voice. A bonafide classic, we were so impressed we named it our track of the year. In ‘Another Lesson’, Glenn Rosborough has released a worthy follow-up.
With ‘Another Lesson’, the Derry songwriter once again brings out a big track. A big pop song, filtered through guitars, piano and Rosborough distinctive and versatile vocals. Much like its predecessor, the track brings out a great chorus that won’t be forgotten easily. A wash of strings bring everything to a widescreen climax. Much like the two singles which seem to hark back to an earlier era, the video is a throwback in itself.
We make that two singles, two hits for Rosborough who just received his first Radio One play and is currently on a UK tour with Neon Waltz. With an album expected this year, it’s a fine time to have a listen.
