March saw the release of ‘Guess The End’, the new single from Derry artist Susie Blue. The single was accompanied by a video, directed by Susie herself. The song, a reworking of a song of the same name from her most recent EP Midnight Cat Swaps, features all the trademark Susie Blue characteristics. The honest, heartfelt lyrics, delivered by distinctive vocals – a strong voice but with a sense of fragility, and helped along by a catchy yet melancholic melody.
According to Susie “The song is about a rough time for me, about desperation and anger at some memories.” The video she says was “intended to reflect that but also have fun with my friends creating it.” The video features Susie along with her girlfriend, in a dark and intimate setting, portraying a couple embracing each other, a couple fighting and struggling, but ultimately a couple in love.
