We had 5 minutes with the Furlo boys to discuss their upcoming debut record, here’s all you need to know.
Where they you Recording? Einstein studios with Frankie Mcclay on the outskirts of Antrim.
How Many Songs will make the Record? 11 tracks.
When is it Likely to be Released? Hopefully around March/April
Why did you choose now to Record an album? After 6 years of being a band, 2 EP’s, 2 Singles and a hell of a load of gigs … we felt it was time to bring out the big guns.
What was the recording like? Mental as always but very enjoyable. This was the most prepared we’ve ever been. We had the whole album demoed before we set foot in the studio which helped a hell of a lot.
How many days did you spend in the studio? Around 13 days or so. Picky bunch us lot. We may do a GnR chinese democracy and release it in 2020, who knows!
Will you be touring the Release? Definitely! We’re planning an English and Irish tour at the moment, and maybe we’ll pop into Scotland too.
How was the Songwriting for the Record? Quite easy this time around. A lot of the songs came about by jamming them out, whilst others took a little longer.
What are some of the lyrical themes? Its quite heart on your sleeve stuff really. About prioritizing, moving on from life’s knock-backs and a little reference to trying to deal with things by going off the rails. Quite like most songwriters, the foundations are from heartache. There’s a lot of references to ‘running out of’ and ‘the wasting of time’. I suppose it works well with the title, which we’re yet to announce.
