It’s been an incredible 12 years since the release of My Vitriol‘s stunning debut record, Finelines. A defining album that was easily on every critic’s ‘top album‘ list for that year. In those long 12 years the band have released a live album (Cast in Amber) and an EP (A Pyrrhic Victory) – but they’re more known for the sheer amount of stop/starts en route to the recording of their second album – the most anticipated album since ‘Chinese Democracy‘.
The waiting is officially over. The band very recently announced a Pledgemusic campaign to fund their second record, and within a few days .. had already reached 110% of their goal – a sure fire sign that the band is still on everyone’s mind. Here’s what the band wrote on their Pledgemusic page:
‘Ladies and Gents,
Welcome to our PledgeMusic page. We are recording our new album over summer and felt it would be in the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll to have all you lovely people involved from the start.
So, we’re offering you the chance to pledge on lots of signed, exclusives and one-off experiences etc as we build towards the release of the album next year.
All pledgers will receive access to updates as we go… we’ll be posting photos, videos, demos, blogs and anything else we can think of – for your eyes only!No money will be debited from your bank account until we’ve reached 100% of our target.
- As an added bonus the first 10 people to pledge will have the option of a free pass to our Halloween After Party on the night of the London show at Heaven! *
We’re excited and can’t wait to see you all at the shows in October!
