While we are all comfortable in the knowledge that the best music in the world comes from our small corner of the globe, it’s always nice to see it recognised on a global stage. So it was with great excitement that we report that local rockers Saint Sapphire have signed with Sony Music Entertainment.
The trio of Sam Morgan, Adam Walker and Danny Martin have been mainstays on the local circuit for a number of years, and under the name of Saint Sapphire have delivered gigs to hundreds of fans and punters alike. Their released singles, such as ‘Hurricane’, have seen airplay in cities as far flung as Los Angeles, while their reputation as one of the premier live bands in the country is well deserved. After a run of shows in the mainland UK, they returned to focus on writing new material, but had seemingly done enough to grab the attention of the media company already.
On the signing, frontman Sam Morgan had this to say:
“We’re mad buzzed to finally be getting this underway, it’s been in the works for a while so we’re excited to finally get going and see what new craic this could bring over the next while. 2019 will be mega”
I had the opportunity to interview the Saint Sapphire boys and see them live on a number of occasions, and can speak for all of Chordblossom when I say that we wait with bated breath to see where their journey takes them. Good luck lads!
