It is that time of year again….No, not Christmas! The application process for bands and musicians to play at Stendhal 2022 is now open.

Scheduled for slightly earlier than normal, Stendhal will take place between 30th June and 2nd July 2022. Last year they hosted two socially distanced events but the organisers hope that 2022 will see Ballymully Cottage Farm return to its pre-pandemic numbers.

Over the last 12 years the festival has hosted a wide variety of talent including The Wailers, Basement Jaxx, Embrace, Frightened Rabbit and Badly Drawn Boy to name a few of the big guns. That is before we even start talking about the incredible lengths they go to, to shine a light on the incredible talents we have on our own doorstep.

Event Director Ross Parkhill said: “We say this every year and it still rings true, the submission process is always one of our favourite times of the year. We love discovering new music, new artists, and new performers and the submissions always throw up some absolutely brilliant discoveries.”

He added: “We first discovered acts like Ryan McMullan, Soak and JC Stewart through our annual submission process and this year we are delighted to open the net wider than just musicians. We want to hear from poets, visual artists of all kinds, comedians, dancers, theatre groups and basically anyone who would like to get on stage at Stendhal and wow our audience with something special. “

If you are interested in applying you should visit the Stendhal 2022 – Artist Applications Page.

If you are feeling a little nostalgic, you might want to check out our coverage from Stendhal 2021 – July 2021 Review and August 2021 Review.
