Exhalers debut offering ‘Trial and Error’ sees ex LaFaro drummer Alan Lynn go it alone-with very encouraging results.
Wearing his influences firmly on his sleeve (not a bad thing necessarily), a wonderfully loose drumbeat leads into a luscious, jaggedly QOTSA sounding guitar riff. Held together by some expectedly solid drumming, the song will be one you’ll find yourself humming for days and Lynn’s vocals have an almost effortless Scott Weiland vibe to them at times.
With the prospect of a full album to follow and a full band being added the chance of seeing the project live is surely one to be excited by.
