It’s been a while since we’ve heard new music from pop singer-songwriter turned radio presenter Gemma Bradley. Earlier this month she featured on a fantastic new track from young Dublin rapper Malaki, adding her smooth vocals to ‘You Told Me‘. And now she’s followed it with her first solo release in a long time, with ‘Obsessed‘.
The new single is a departure from her previous more soulful tracks, now Bradley has moved firmly into the realm of pop with a tropical sounding dance number. Steel drum notes bounce around as she hits into a radio friendly chorus, and club production. Losing none of her love of a hook, ‘Obsessed’ is a catchy tale of infatuation, and well obsession.
Gemma Bradley is certainly no stranger to new Northern Irish music but it’s great to see the BBC Across The Line presenter return with new music of her own. Fingers crossed there’s more on the way.
