Goldie Fawn the latest musical project of Belfast’s Katie Richardson has been around for a long enough time in Northern Irish music terms so it seems odd that nearly two years after launching we are only just getting our first glimpse of recorded music.
‘Savages’ is the debut single from Goldie Fawn. Musically it is an electronic pop gem with vocal melodies perched atop of electro sounds and tribal drums which match the primal lyrical theme. There’s no denying the pop credentials on show here.
The song is available as a free download, but you better act fast. While the track will appear on Goldie Fawn’s debut EP in the spring, it will only be available as a free download for the next 36 hours (only about 32 at the time of this post!). If ‘Savages’ is anything to go by, the EP looks to continue a recent trend in Northern Ireland with the electro pop of Loris and Oh Volcano.
