After announcing the release of their debut album, Belfast DIY punks Mob Wife are amping up the appetite for electrifying and chaotic indie eruptions all around.

The band’s latest track, ‘Cutting Teeth On Suburban Curbs’, comes to terms with the “dizzying realisation of the amount of time wasted in life, and the anxiety and depression that comes alongside it”, explains frontman Chris Leckey. Written over the course of lockdown, Mob Wife tackles lyrics of isolating claustrophobia with a huge post-punk soundscape. It’s also packed with the heavy breeze of bands along the lines of Fugazi, Pavement and At the Drive-In.

With their ability to blend nihilistic doom with glimmers of hope and their new album ‘Eat With Your Eyes’ set to come out on Friday 29th April, Mob Wife are a band to keep a close eye on.
