Just in time for Samhain season, Derry’s resident harmonic grunge duo Sister Ghost have released ‘Buried Alive’, a brand new track ahead of their upcoming EP. ‘
Buried Alive’ is quintessential Sister Ghost with thudding drums, loud, in-your-face guitar and a chant-along chorus infused with their signature spooky sensibilities. Tales of being tangled in webs and shivering to your bones fuel the palpable frustration felt in this catchy number.
Frontwoman Shannon O’Neill explains: “I wanted to write about the experience of feeling smothered under the weight of responsibilities as well as when you feel that pressure to question yourself and where you’re at in life. Equally I also wanted to acknowledge the realisation that everything that’s happened before has led you to where you are now, with purpose, and the gratitude and comfort you can feel in knowing that.”
