Villa In France. It’s a phrase for me that has taken on more meaning during this lockdown. Just the mention of the band’s name instantly makes me wish for a holiday in France, sipping on a cheap import beer while I enjoy the sun on the South coast. Alas, that won’t happen for a while so their music will have to do for now.
The latest single does not hold back any punches. Entitled “Man On A Bridge”, this song really will be tugging your heart strings. Sonically, this song is carried by Aidan Davidson’s vocals chronicling the actions of the protagonist throughout. The tone of such a unique voice on the scene really captures the haunting moments presented. This emphasis on storytelling really does make this song a memorable release. As well as the vocals, the lead guitar creates a sense of urgency throughout the song, putting the listener in the shoes of our protagonist as he make his decisions.
