Formed at the tail end of 2015, Franklyn marked a new chapter for four formerly predominant musicians from the local music scene. Owen, Enda & Stephen (General Fiasco) combine with Paul (The Jane Bradfords) for some guitar heavy indie rock. While releases have been few and far between so far, the four piece are set to remedy that with the release of a double a-side.
The featured single from this release is ‘Friends‘. A blast of jangly guitar leads into a dark edged slab of rock that shows Owen’s songwriting has matured greatly from his previous work. The official release date for both singles is 13th January 2017 via Belfast based label, No Dancing Records. However, you can stream both tracks above or watch the accompanying music video below.
If you would like to catch them live, Franklyn headline a show in Voodoo on Saturday 17th December 2016. Support comes from Los Bloody Rackets & Hunkpapa.
