Ahead of a string of shows this summer, Tour Alaska is releasing a series of music videos. The first, taken from last year’s New Ways For Us To Fall is ‘Against the Tide We Swim‘, which went live last week ahead of his performance at our very own tenth birthday show this Friday.
Filmed with Neo Digital Media, the video has a very homespun and retro charm, with Tour Alaska’s Gerry Norman taking in scenery around Newcastle and Downpatrick. Described by Gerry as “the album’s footstomper”, ‘Against the Tide We Swim’ has real energy, a song that boasts a great chorus and confident songwriting from the former A Plastic Rose frontman.
One of the album’s jauntier numbers, ‘Against the Tide We Swim’ should you get ready for Tour Alaska’s stripped back performance at the Chordblossom Tenth Birthday show this Friday in Black Box, Belfast. Tickets are on sale now.
