◀ Q & A ▶

▶ Tell us about your artist/band name?

Our name comes from a metaphor that originated in Buddhist philosophy, a concept of the interconnectedness of the universe that interested us.

▶ When did you start playing music and how would you describe your sound?

We all had a history of playing in bands long before we met at university and started playing together. Our sound is guitar-focused alternative rock that is driven and atmospheric.

▶ What releases have you put out so far?

We have released two EPs to date, the first self titled EP was released in September 2014, the second, ‘High Tide’ was released in April 2015. Most of our songs can be found on our soundcloud page.

▶ Is there a particular live show that stands out amongst all the rest?
The live show that really stands out for us at this stage was the heat of the Original Band Showcase we played in this year at The Musician in Leicester. It was a really well attended event with tonnes of great bands and a great crowd.

▶ Can you talk about a Highlight and a low point of the journey so far?

The highlight of our journey so far was our first festival that we played, Western Park Festival in Leicester. It was a relatively small festival, but it was great to play outside in the sun and has given us a taste for playing bigger and better festivals in the future.
The low point for us would maybe be our first gig, where we forgot our keyboard that was pretty important to our sound at the time. It was a bit of a disaster.

▶ If you weren’t a musician(s) how would you spend your spare time?
If we weren’t musicians we would probably be basking in the sun on a Hawaiian island surrounded by beautiful women. Probably.

▶ If you were to go on a world tour and you could pick any 3 acts come along, who would they be?
The three acts we would take on a world tour would be Radiohead, The War on Drugs and our friends The Blazing Owls.

▶ What would be the 3 strangest things on your rider if you were able to make any demand?
On our rider we would want: A Keg of White Russian, Personalised artificial bearskin cloaks and a selection of tropical fish.

▶ Is there a particular aim or goal which you hope to achieve through music?
One aim would be to get the opportunity to travel beyond the UK as a band.

▶ Who has been your biggest inspiration as a musician?
Thom Yorke is one of our main inspirations for his dedication to music across multiple genres and styles, without ever dropping his quality.
