This month Chordblossom reached the grand old age of 14.
14 years of championing the musicians, individuals and organisations that make up the music scene in Northern Ireland.
As a team of volunteers, it hasn’t always been plain sailing, but we love being a platform for people to discover new music.
A lot of what I said when we reached out tenth anniversary still applies but in short, a big thank you to the many individuals who’ve contributed to the website over the years, all the organisations who we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with and of course our readers for continuing to engage with our content.
Most importantly, a big thank you to all the incredible bands and musicians who continue to release incredible songs, EPs and albums. You inspire us to keep on going.
We have a busy year planned with lots of exciting new content, another round of Kickstart and plenty of gigs. You’ll be hearing plenty more about these soon.
In the meantime, we are hosting a bit of a birthday bash this Thursday in the Belfast Empire. There’ll be performances from ROE, Lucy Bell, Alfie Norma and The Davids.
