Trent Reznor once said he “isn’t done creating music under the moniker, but that Nine Inch Nails is done touring for the foreseeable future.”
The foreseeable future is now over! In a statement from Reznor, he was “working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show.” They booked the first NIN show since 2009 and eventually ended up with a US arena tour in 2013, followed by a worldwide tour for 2014.
The new lineup will include Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin and – of course – Trent Reznor. He had previously told Radio One that he would be writing for the majority of 2012 with Nine Inch Nails in mind, so prepare yourselves for some new material.
