Belfast tends to receive the most attention when it comes to the music scene in Northern Ireland and quite often other towns and cities don’t get the recognition they deserve. This year’s Six Mile Music Festival in Antrim is a prime example with very little coverage dedicated to a huge local line-up.
If you take a trip to Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday 2nd July don’t forget to take your dancing shoes. Ten piece ska band Doghouse have headlining responsibilities and will no doubt entice plenty onto the dance floor. A full local line-up will also showcase the talents of Red Eye Pariah, The Coronations, Somehow Sentient and the Rising.
On Sunday 3rd July, we’ve a venue switch as Top of the Town’s beer garden hosts the 2nd and final day of Six Mile Music Festival. The line-up packs in twelve of Northern Ireland’s finest artists across a mix of genres. Our long-time favourites Wynona Bleach are on headline duties while you’ll also be able to catch the likes of Conjuring Fate, Luke O’Loan, Alice LA and Search Party.
Tickets cost £10 per day which is great value considering the number of artists on the bill each day. Buy tickets at the Six Mile Music Festival website.
