Don’t fret the summer festivals may be over but there’s already been stacks of gig announcements as the annual deluge of shows between now and Christmas starts to come together.

The Rising – The Empire, Belfast – Thursday 28th August 2014

Americana influenced The Rising have been winning over the listeners of BBC Radio 2 and they’re taking over the Empire to release their debut album. Support on the evening comes from Sara Crockett and Morgan McIntyre.

Admission is £5 on the door


Shizz the Fest – Limelight, Belfast – Friday 29th August 2014

Shizznigh Promotions are having their own attempt at hosting an indoor festival as they take over the Limelight for one special evening of live music. Culminating in a huge set by party specialists Pocket Billiards, the venue will see Gascan Ruckus, The Greased Palm, The Late Twos, The Couth, Loris, The Sun Shadows and In An Instant all play for your approval.

Social Sounds 2014– Cotton Court, Belfast – Friday 29th August 2014

Social Sounds returns for 2014 with a brilliant line-up of local talent and a wonderful ticket price…FREE. Headlined by David C Clements, the line-up also features the talents of Gareth Dunlop, The Emerald Armada, Stephen MacCartney, Peter McCauley and Nathan O’Regan.
