Chordblossom Presents: Lauren Bird Kickstart Single Launch

Lauren Bird - Goodbye Goodluck Single Launch for Chordblossom's Kickstart competition

It seems like it was ages ago that we crowned the extremely talented Lauren Bird as the winner of our Kickstart Competition. Since her victory in March, Lauren has been hard at work recording and preparing her single for launch.

We are pleased then to announce that Lauren Bird will launch her new single ‘Goodbye Goodluck‘ with a headline performance on Friday 28th August 2015 in the Bar With No Name in Belfast. She will be joined on the evening by the brilliant Isobel Anderson and Ciara O’Neill.

Lauren Bird - Goodbye Goodluck Single Launch for Chordblossom's Kickstart competition

You need to be extremely impressive to come through our annual Kickstart competition and quite frankly Lauren Bird blew our socks off and dazzled a full house at her last appearance in The Bar With No Name.  Influenced by the likes of Alanis Morissette, Regina Spektor & St. Vincent, her sweet persona lays the foundation to some heartfelt and folk tinged goodness.

Isobel Anderson  can call on distinguished fans Lauren Laverne & Jamie Cullum for praise, sung on several of Passenger’s albums and graced the legendary Glastonbury festival so we are chuffed she agreed to join Lauren’s launch. Her music weaves a lyrical landscape teetering on the darker side of life with the gentle lilt of British Folk influences, soft crooner lullabies and soulful climaxes.

Also teetering on the darker side of the folk spectrum is Armagh songstress, Ciara O’Neill. Her music is hauntingly melancholic, drawing you in and leaving you wanting more.
