One of the major events in the local music calendar is of course Sunflowerfest and this year is no exception. With a huge number of Northern Irish musicians on the bill (Screaming Eagles, R51, LORIS, Zombified to name a few) you can bet we are excited.
Given that the festival starts today (Friday 31st August) we thought you might be interested in stage times so you don’t miss your favourite musicians. Tickets are still available for the festival via their own website and also on the gates.
One band that shouldn’t be missed this year is Tempest Fugitives who won this year’s Jägermeister Battle of the Bands, hosted at the Pavilion Bar, Belfast. The band will take to the festival’s main stage on the first day of Sunflowerfest, Friday 31st July and perform their set from 3.25pm.
“Playing Sunflowerfest is going to be the highlight of our summer…and I’m going to Thailand so that’s saying something,” said Damian Higgins. “When we entered Battle of the Bands, we just wanted decent exposure and to meet other bands we could gig with in the future; we didn’t think we’d win. Now we’re going to be playing among 120 of the best acts in NI. We’ve been plugging away for a long time and this is truly a dream come true. We can’t wait to get down to the farm!”
