In arguably what has been our highest quality year for entries, we are a little saddened to have to just select one overall winner for our Kickstart competition.
After over a week and a half of deliberations our judging panel decided that Newry’s Omonoko should be the worthy winners for 2019.
Omonoko first got together in December 2017 with lead singer Brendy and drummer Marty meeting up to write and record some home sessions. Within a couple weeks they asked for the help of Marty’s brother Padraig and friend Ryan to come onboard for a professional recording session in Manor Park studios. So far they’ve released a handful of singles and are keen to get back in the studio and then hit the road for some shows.
As a reminder Omonoko will be working their way through this magnificent list of prizes over the coming months. Once again we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful organisations and individuals for donating their time and support to us.
