Phillip McCarroll is relentless in his support for local music and he is showcasing four more brilliant bands this Thursday in the Empire. Headlined by the rap/rock specialists Green Monkey, and also featuring plenty more rock from Aquatramp, The Titanics & Blinding Lights.

Desert Hearts – Menagerie, Belfast – Friday 18th April 2014
The elusive and yet ever popular Desert Hearts play their first Belfast show in a while with a headline spot in the cosy surroundings of the Menagerie. Their most recent album Enturbulation = No Challenge was sublime and the opportunity to hear some of it live shouldn’t be missed. Support from Blue Whale.
